Need opinions

Well im going to buy a new car in the next couple months so i decided to join a few forums and learn about the few cars i want. I am stuck between an WRX STi and a FD. I know the STi would probly be alot more of a reliable car and would also not be as old as the FD. But if i go with the FD a new motor is a must unless i find one that has been swapped recently. Would a rebuild be just as good or better than a new motor? Also how strong are their trannys? Im sorry about this post i have been trying search but this forum is very slow.

Please start with the FAQ thread...it should be quicker than searching. Thanks.

Another question you should be asking yourself is how you are going to use the car. Daily Driver, weekend toy, open track car?

For DD activities, I'd probably go for the STI or EVO if I hadn't already lit the FD crack pipe.

There is more to reliability than just the motor. Keep searching as I don't feel like repeating the same shit thats already been repeated over and over.

I had an STI before my FD. i like the FD better but i dont have to depend on it to get to work and drive daily ect ect.Do some research and definately read the FAQ section. And a new motor isnt a "must", a healthy motor is a must.
