Need help - Suspension Noises

I recently bought a one owner, '93 FD3. Spent a ton on cash at the Maz-Duh dealer on the 60K service, new wires, filters, fluids, koni sport shocks, hoses, brembos, etc, etc. Long story short: The dealer broke the first set of koni sports while installing. Now, whenever I go over a rough road especially at low speeds, I get a clunking sound front and rear, but worse in the rear (already fixed the hatch rattle). Could the shock have been improperly installed? Or is some other suspendion component(s) potentially at fault?

P.S.: I have precisely zero confidence in the dealer at this point and would also appreciate a referal to a good suspension guy in the Canton, OH are.

Thanks

I live in the Kent / Ravenna area and I have had my FD's suspension apart a few times and am about to tear it all apart again to put in new pillowballs, shocks, upper shock mounts, and more. If you want to try to hook up I can take a look at it for you. It should be fairly easy to determine where the noise is coming from. Send me a PM if you want me to take a look at it for you. Besides, it's always good to meet another FD owner as there aren't too many of us around here!

No telling what it is without a better description.

If the car didn't make a clunking sound before it went to the dealer and now it does, just take it back and tell them to figure it out.

Clunking from the rear sounds like pillow balls to me. I REALLY need to replace mine.

Could it be that the clunk was always there, but installing the konis has just made it more noticible?

check the nuts at the top of the strut towers. i believe that there are 3 on each (14mm). mine had loosened up since installing my shocks. i put a dab of locktite on each.

Try spraying then entire suspension with a garden hose a couple of times and see if it stops. Go ahead everybody give me some grief about it, but I've got the jimlab bushings in mine. The only way to quiet it down is the daily water baptism. I've tried every lubricant known to man, except K-Y jelly
