Need help removing fan blades.
 

Hey guys Im changing the radiator fans b/c one of mine were shot so I bought a used set, the frame is a little banged up but the motors and blades and perfect just I was trying to take the fan blade off after remove the retaining nut, but had no luck. Can anyone please tell how to get it off without breaking it

This is a joke, right? You've obviously never worked on a set of FD fans.

You're talking about separating the fan blade from the actual motor, right? I think you're going to want to use a gear puller (they sell these are Sears, Autozone, etc..) and be careful while you're doing it. I remember reading that you can damage the windings in the motor if you're too violent or rough in taking it off.

You need to squirt some penetrant on/down the shaft like WD-40 or PB Blaster. Then carefully pry up from the bottom after it has soaked a bit.

gst19psi, start using proper thread titles. Either no one is going to help you with these types of thread titles or the moderators will start locking the threads. Make the thread titles descriptive to the problem and you get help much quicker.

Mahjik, I thought the title was dead on. I knew exactly what he was talking about from the title.

I edited the title (as I did with his previous thread). It was "Need help, car dead".
