need help please revving problem

just replaced brand new ecu and boost sensor the car ran good for 2 days and after that when i was driving the car it just didnt run good out of no where it will idle perfectly but as soon as you step on the gas the car stumbles the car can only accelerate if you gas it slowly i cant punch it or even drive ok for that matter the car pops by the turbos when i try to gas it does anyone know if its a boost problem or perhaps a vacuum line that got undone any help would be amazing thanks

check the map sensor on the firewall at the right hand on the engine bay behind the intake elbow. make sure its still connected.
Also try resetting your ECU..it might help

Is this a RHD model by chance?
What your describing is limp mode, but in LHD models, it's accompanied by a CEL. Limp mode means no fuel or timing advance unless the manifold is under vaccum. If you have a boost gauge you can check.

need help please revving problem

having problems i was driving up a hill after getting back to level grounds the car suddenly hesitated bad when trying to accelerate from a stop i have to slowly gas the car i cant just hit the gas it just wont rev up its like a popping noise near the turbos the car still runs i guess you can say and revs perfect but as soon as i try my foot on the gas it chokes and wont move any more rpm i have no idea what it can be i checked all the connections for a possible vacuum leak but cant find anything i also just got a brand new ecu and boost sensor and the car ran good till this any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Check your map sensor and see if thats dirty....unless your explaining that as your boost sensor. When was the last time you did a fuel filter?

agtmc 01-16-09 10:57 PM

map sensor yes its clean no i haven't replaced the fuel filter since i have owned the car thas a good start but i dont think its the fuel filter because the turbos pop if you will but i suppose it could be from shortage of fuel if the fuel filter is clogged however i dont think its that but ill check it out. All the vacuum lines are hooked on so i dont think its a vacuum leak im kinda running out of options thanks ill check my fuel filter tomorrow thanks again

Is it still a stock based ECU? If so, have you tried pulling codes or resetting the ECU?

agtmc 01-16-09 11:04 PM

i have a feeling it might be something to do with the primary turbo i dont think its kicking in at all thats why after i try to gas it, it wont go i hope i can figure it out im getting depressed i had 3 cars and due to the economy this is my last car and it doesnt even run right aaaaahhhhh

agtmc 01-17-09 12:04 AM

its a stock ecu i have no idea how to reset it

agtmc 01-17-09 12:57 AM

no its not rhd

Sgtblue 01-17-09 05:09 AM

Well, OK. What "brand new ECU" do you have? Do you have a boost gauge and were you able to check to see if you can go past "0" on it? What other modifications have been done?

And it's helpful if you use punctuation.

Sgtblue 01-17-09 05:16 AM

Just now noticed he has two threads going..... https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=813383, and my thoughts were with the ECU too.

For a future note, please use punctuation marks. Its hard to read a run on sentence thats a paragraph long. Thanks.

For your problem, maybe you actually have a "bad" new ecu. That or maybe its a grounding problem (of your ecu) thats the problem??

Some little things that tend to be overlooked by people.

sorry about that just got excited and had run ons. thanks everybody i changed the fuel filter and reset the ecu and the car runs perfect. It was the ecu thanks again i really appreciate it.
