need help performing a compression test
hello all...
need you help. i tried performing a compression test, followed the directions in the FSM..(warmed up, removed circuit open relay and ignitor connector (at least what i think was the ignitor connector) then removed fron trailing plug. inserted 14mm long adaptor from cheap compression tester and had wife try to crank her with the accelerator all the way to the floor. only problem, no cranking ocurred thus no compression. switched to the rear rotor, same thing. the car drives perfectly, so i know it has plenty of compression, for some reason i just can't do this test right. the circuit open relay was labelled, so i couldnt have screwed that up. the ignitor connector was accessed by removing the cruise controll harness and unpluging the connector under the ignitor (on left fender wall). any tips would be greatly appreciated. thanks! eric |
this is not meant to offend you because i made this mistake today when i was doing the same test on my brothers car. Did your wife hold the clutch pedal down too?
