Need help identifying two connectors on 5 spd engine emissions harness or pics...

Hi,
Does anyone have an old federal 1993 5spd emissions harness they would like to sell or post pics of it? I'm having a hard time rewiring a cut X-14 white connector on my 1993 5 spd engine emissions harness (shown circled yellow and in closeup below). Two of the cut wires at pins 6 + 7 are the same shade of orange (pin 7 wire is supposed to be yellow). If not, could someone with a good 5 spd harness... #N3A1-18-051e and an ohm meter - multitester can tell me which 2 numbered connectors of the first (engine side) wire branch, would pins 6 + 7 of white connector X-14 be wired to ? See pic below Note: pic below is of an auto harness. It was the only full emissions harness pic I could find. The inset pic of connector X-14 is from a 5spd harness. I've tried without success to buy an emissions harness for reference purposes. Most cheap emissions harnesses for sale appear to be broken or missing components or wire branches and are not suitable for comparison purposes. Thanks for any help you can provide. Probably doesn't help too much, I am scanning through the wiring diagram trying to find that connector now.

Please forgive the shittyness of these pics. My mother took them cause I had the harness mailed to her place while I was out of town for 3 weeks.
Anyway, hope that is useful. |

Sorry in my haste, I blundered,
It is actually orange wires from pins 5 + 6 of white connector X-14 I cannot differentiate. The orange wire from pin 7 goes in the other direction to another interior connector and not the engine bay. Another member PM'd me stating pin 6 has continuity with the only grey 2 pin connector on the 1st engine bay breakout or branch. Can any one tell me what other connector on that 1st breakout or branch has an orange wire going to it ? It should have continuity with pin 5 of X-14 Thanks for your help, John |

Anyway, hope that is useful. Unfortunately, an exploded view pic of that 1st engine bay breakout or branch (which the blue lines point to in my 1st post ) would help me identify the 2 connectors best and their location on the harness. What's interesting is pin 5 is actually yellow on your harness as it is supposed to be and not orange like pin 6 as they are on my spare harness and the one on my car. :wallbash: The only references I could find to X-14 connector on the 94 wiring diagram is page Z-34 which shows neutral and 1st-2nd switches. Looking in the engine bay, that 1st branch or breakout route behind between the intake + firewall and down towards the transmission tunnel. White connector X-14 pinout is on page z-121. |
When I jack the car up next time, I'll check around the transmission tunnel. |

Looking at this pic, I'm pretty sure its one or more of the 5 connectors in the bottom center right. Which ever connector(s) has or have yellow or orange wires going to them. Problem is, I don't know which one is which on my harnesses, both wires are the same orange. I tried cleaning + scratching the plastic wire insulation. No color difference. |

On my 93 federal five speed harness there are 4 connectors on the breakout, here are the 2 you asked about in your PM.

Thank you to Slo, D Hahlen + his mom for all your help.
I can now hopefully finish my wiring project without having to install a new emissions harness. |
