need help finding window switch part

ok, so my switch to lower and raise the window broke the other day. its the driver side switch that controls the passenger window.

i have asked around but nobody has just the switch, they want to sell me the whole unit for around $90. i just need the plastic part that you pull on.

if anyone has one or knows of where i can get it please let me know. if not i guess i can pay $90 for a little plastic switch.:(

You have to purchase the complete switch. Small Parts aren't available separately for it.

Even from Ray...............

I would think being in Japan you would have a MUCH easier time getting parts? even plastic switches for the windows. How many shops in Japan that work on Rotaries?

things work a little different here in Japan. they try to make sure you have the right parts for your car so they will sell you the whole component just to make everything works out right for you. (i guess its supposed to be good customer service but it gets a little annoying at times) sooooo....i did find the switch but they are trying to sell me the whole unit that the switch is on instead of just the switch.

example:
i went in to the store to look for the plastic screws (i think there were two screws) that attach from the license plate holder to the car and they asked to see my registration papers (standard procedure). i didnt have the papers (which sys what year, model, make etc.) so they couldnt help me out because they dont want to be at fault if they sell me the wrong parts.

its not like at autozone. you NEED the registration paperwork

they want to make sure you get exactly what you need to make your car work properly....so just selling the switch might cause problems because the switch and the unit might not be compatible. this is how they look at things.

good: they are looking out for you
bad: they get carried away at times

shit i just sold a whole unit for $20
