Need help with exhaust cat question

http://www.xtremeflow.com/catalyticconverters.htm

this is the link to buying cats separately to weld it in, I'm wondering if anyone knows which size I'm suposed to buy? Need to change mine ASAP :D

What type exhaust do you have currently?? Stock or DP-MP?? You should look into the cats being sold on ebay. Got my MagnaFlow Hi-Flow 3"i/o for $58.00 shipped.

what you serious??? I'm going to look at that one then, do you like it so far?

Will the Magnaflow last though? It says high-flow honeycomb, but doesn't state what material it uses. Can it withstand the heat of the rotary? I'd buy it too if it will last. Heck, it's so cheap, I might as well buy one too.

Time will tell. I just had it installed on Friday. But I really don't anticipate any future problems.

Well it cured my excessive boost problem. The exhaust now sounds pretty deep and throaty, but not quite as loud as before with strait MP.

hmmm I stil have the stock cat so I'm assuming I need to get the 3 incher as well correct?

dubcaps 02-24-04 11:23 PM

I'd say 3 incher, thats what I have on my car. (not that brand, though).

by the time you get done buying the midpipe and paying someone to weld in a cat that probably won't last you and buying something else to replace it, you might as well have done it right the first time and gotten the only high-flow cat that has been proven to last - the Bonez. Search on it. I went through the same shit with my old Turbo II. Waste of $$ Do it right the first time.

i dont know about you guys but it seems there is only a high flow cat for the FC, I mean the Bonez one, if anyone has the link to this product for the FD please post it so :)
