need help, car is acten funky

ok i dont really know how to explain whats going on but i'll give it a shot.

so when i get on the gas i'm getting this weird reaction from my car once i cross over into the 4K-5K rpm range, it kinda sounds like i'm bouncing off the rev limiter. then when i shift up and still stay on the gas the same thing starts to happen.

any ideas of what might be causing this? sparkplugs not firing? injectors? turbos? hopefully its nothing too extreme, i might just considering switching over to single hehehe

thanks guy

sounds like you could have a misfire, could be caused by ignition break up. When was the last time you changed your plugs? how many miles on the motor and whats the spec? Check all your ignition leads are on tight.

sounds like ignition breakup or fuel cut, neither are good for your engine and can damage it permanently, so stop doing it until you fix the problem

yea i think i'm due for a tune-up, taken her in at the end of the month or so. i havn't been steppen on it...after that first time it happened i was afraid my car was going to blowup so i am keeping it under 4K.

turbos and injectors should be ok though?

Do you have a boost gauge? It sounds as if your hitting fuel cut.

yea i have a boost gauge, and it seems like i'm boosting fine i'm afraid to test and look again. what would i have to fix if i have ignition break up or am hitting the fuel cut?
