need help cant find problem

well we got my motor started today. runs good. other than the coolant light being on and the buzzer going off. but we checked the coolant its full. oils good. then we unpluged the sensor wire and it still goes off. and alldata say thats the coolant level sensor. but when we disconnect it still goes off and we shorted it to make sure it wasnt working. and the car wasnt overheating.

so what is making this happen. i need help quick. and i have more questions but i have to post pictures to ask them so i will post those tommorow. i came here to ask cause the sensor cost $70 and i didnt want to waste it if i didnt need it.

I had the same exact problem and looked at every sersor to ensure they were hooked up then turned it back on and the buzzer kept going off so I made sure, the water pump was working and I let it run for a few minutes. Once it reached operating temp, the buzzer went off and all it's great now. Just be careful and keep an eye on the water temps.... I am sure it has something to do with the water sensor. Good luck and once again, keep a close eye on your water temp sensor until buzzer goes off.

if you only saw one... you missed 2.
the one on the rear iron i don't think sets the buzzer off - but the one behind the aircon pump A LOT of people miss and post about issues with a sensor. it'll be that one.

superfastrx7 - your problem was a bit different... you water level was low in the filler neck, then when the theromostat opened water flowed over it hence stopping the buzzing. you actually could do with some more water in there after burping the system (which i'm sure you've done since).

they were all connected.
