Need Help
 

Here's the deal. When the car is near "E" on the gas tank the car drives perfectly fine. But when I try to hit boost the car jerks and doesnt want to get into the turbo. Car is all stock except for the AST put in by Pettit. I think it is the fuel pump not pushing enough fuel in but that would be my guess. Anyone with any advice please help on the situation. I know the fuel pump should be changed every 15,000 miles so that may be it. Any information is great. Thanks

Search on the forum, this is an issue that has been address a lot over the years. You can either modify the fuel pump assembly to sit the pickup just a little lower in the tank or stop running less than 1/4 tank. It is a problem that happens often when these cars are autox or on a road coarse.
