need help

I have 3rd gen rx7 with a power fc professinally tuned, 3'' straight pipe, blitz intercooler, bov, apexi air filter , and a walbro255 fuel pump on a 4000 miles mazda engine i just got... the car seemed fine lately but during the dyno i had to replace my Tps cuz it was gettin my Rpm's stuck and slowly coming back down.
But most times times when i shift gears as i step on the clutch the rpm's shoots up to bout 3000 and i have to step on it harder so it will climb up then come back down... and if i leave in gear it will stayin put even increase speed a little by itself..its weird.. well i was thinkin maybe it could be a messed throtle cable ??
its annoyin almost every time lately... people think i dont take my feet of the gas when i switch gears..haha if u have any idea i appreciate the help

It's likely a simple mechanical problem with the throttle body - something is binding up and keeping the throttle from closing. Look at this problem PRONTO - the throttle can jam open while you're driving, running your car into the back of granny's Buick :).

You should be able to spot the cause of the problem by simply moving the throttle by hand with the car off. It can even be something as dumb as a floormat jammed under the gas pedal :).

Check the throttle linkage to see if its binding. Also, check the cruise control cable if so equiped. Sometimes it binds. See if you can force the thrttole cam closed with your hand when it sticks.
