Need any info on3rd gen RX-7 Type-R

Hey guys, I recently purchased a JDM 92 RX-7 Type-R, it'll be here in 4-5 weeks, and I'm trying to collect as much information about the car as possible. Any advice, tips and links to helpful info would help. Anything technical, what makes the type-r different, what the car is capable of, factory options, best turbo set-ups, stuff like that. Im a noob to mazda. I own 2 Civic's right now, and the RX is another car to the collection. First one thats not Honda, FWD, or LHD. Thanks in advance. Hope to meet a lot of good people on this forum.

Why would you buy a car you know NOTHING about? Smart move there... Oh wait *looks at username*.... Ok.

when the car gets there replace the fuel fiter immediately. you dont know how long its been sitting around in Japan for, the portions of the tank that werent submerged in fuel have probably rusted.

id do the vacuum hose job and coolant lines too to be safe.

Have a compression test done to it. A bit late seeing as that you already bought the car, but a compression test will let you know where you stand with the engine as well. Like vrmmmpshhh was saying, do the reliability mods also. Good luck and I hope it works out well for you.

So you bought a JDM car without knowing anything about it? OMG! What is wrong with you people? What are your plans to make this car LEGAL to drive in your country?
