Well, I thought I share some pics of new goodies I recieved the other day. Today, I finally got a chance to put my door handles back together.
Now it matches quite well with my CF hatch :)

Sonix7 did a great job on these. I highly recommend!!! You could view some of his handwork at: http://www.carbonfiberinnovation.com

Mike, I am hooking you up, I will see you at the meet. I just had my first son on March 1st at 2:21 so I have been real busy. I have been lucky to have a few customers that have been very understanding as far as me completing their projects during the birth of my son. For that I thank those of you that know who you are. I have to admit those look very good in the pics, I guess I am getting this down pretty good. When you guys see what else I am doing on this mans car you are going to flip. Thanx for the nice comments and I am sure you will see more of this type of feedback coming, I have been working hard and there will be other projects coming foward real soon. BTW Phil, I need to show you that training video on paint defect and swirl removing. You can buff and polish every scratch and swirl on that car. I won't forget it next box.

Sonix7, If you need any parts off my parts car, we can trade for some Carbon Fiber!

FDNena 03-03-06 08:05 PM

Congrats Jason on the baby boy! Great job on the handles! They look perfect. I can't wait to get mine now.

Rx-7Addict 03-03-06 09:08 PM

Hello, I noticed you sell the R1 front lip in CF. Will you make a 99-spec lip in CF??

My car's not quite ready to show off.. Should be in... well, about a year.. LOL!

Herblenny 03-07-06 02:29 PM

By the way, sonix7 charges 150 for the overlay.

purerx7 03-07-06 02:32 PM

thats a good price. Do you send him the handle than he overlays it and sends it back? Or does he have one made already than you send your core back?

SuperRotorMan 03-07-06 02:35 PM

those r really nice man.. lol fuckin rights

FD Rey 03-07-06 02:38 PM

Does this mean they won't brake so easy now that they're carbonfiber?! ;) It looks nice and clean. Matches your cf hatch nicely :)

Thanks! Not sure if it will make it stronger. Since most handles I've seen breaks either just under the handle itself or where the rod goes thru the handle hinge.

But it definitely looks hell of a let better than scratched up surface.

Just wait few more months.. I'm doing some crazy shit to my FD!

matty 03-07-06 05:43 PM

do u have any pics from further away?

sonix7 03-07-06 06:46 PM

It doesn't add strength where is needed to ensure it wont break, that is why the metal ones are ideal, then you could have it wrapped. not that this is any further away but here is a pic of the handle on mine.

CantGoStraight 03-07-06 07:20 PM

Damn Jason your cars all torn appart ! ! ! ! Your parts should have arrived today. Jack

Herblenny 03-08-06 06:19 AM

Jason, what are you doing to the inside?

sonix7 03-08-06 10:14 AM

yep my stuff is stripped out. I still have to reinstall the interior after all the custom work I did as far as Carbon Fiber. I also am thinking of installing my Matrix RS 3 in there while I have everything out. Here is another one and this is what you ride will look like if you get the whole interior done at once. Also I was working on the box and then decided to scrap the design for a better box. With this one I was looking to get as much airspace as possible, it looks odd because I was half way finished with it and stopped. I have never seen a more dusty FD in my life, I need to wash it bad:) :icon_tup: http://usera.imagecave.com/sonix7/Picture238-copy.jpg

You dont have the Amp to match that speaker, do you? I would think with all your carbon experience you would make a fiberglass box, then cover with carbon. mainly for weight reasons.

Anyways seems like you do very good carbon work. I might have some things done by you in the near future.

Bingo. yeah I was in such a hurry to get the system in and hear it. I do have the amp to match. I have the D'artagnan, 6 channel mobile theather amp. It is stable to a 1/4 ohm, that sub is the T2 - Tarantula SPL competition sub, 900 RMS and 2400 burst rating. I also have a 1 farad cap on the way and a spatial image restoring component. I have a SS variable in-dash x-over and EQ. The rest is MB quart components all the way around, retained the center channel. Its incredible and I haven't evevn tuned it.The thing is that the box in the pic is mostly fiberglass, just not the top. I fiberglassed out the contours of the wheel well to get extra space. I have decided that I don't need that much space and am going to CF the whole thing when done. Battery is going to the bins. It should be fun. Way different than the one in the pic. Thanx for the nice comments and I will look foward to do some things for you in the future. Got to go, have some packages to ship today. :)
