Where'd the RX-7 go??? :)

JoeD 01-18-02 11:45 PM

do the letters/numbers "RX-7" and "MAZDA" still remain anywhere on your car??

jimlab 01-19-02 12:01 AM

Nope. Just Efini emblems and an "FD" in the VIN number. :)

The only thing I have left are the Mazda keys. As soon as Rotary Performance gets some new Efini blanks in, those are gone too.

That's why it's called a "one-off mod". There's only one pair, and they're on my car. :)

Just put a smile on my face. I am a little surprised you are keeping the Efini emblems and not making your own. :D

I can live with them, no one knows what they are anyway. :)

Well, that'd sort of defeat the point of their being a one-off, wouldn't it? I mean, if everyone had a set, what fun would that be? :)

We do :D

And when Super Chevy does the article on your car, we are going to flood them with emails on what the emblems are :D

I think it looks pretty slick. I would love to have set for myself. Please fill us in on how you made them.

hi, jim. they may be a one off, but i've got a set too... big pain in the ass. i first asked the guy who made my mazd hubcaps if he could machine a pair and he said no. i had mine hand rolled and shaped. how'd you do yours? (btw, i assume the car runs like a raped ape? have you put up numbers anywhere? were there any issues that you hadn't thought about when you got done?) -gordon
A guy who does tin work for Bonneville/Muroc streamliners and Top Fuel dragsters did them, but it took a long time to get fit into his busy schedule. Then again, I wasn't in a big hurry anyway. :)
