Hey guys/gals.

Back in December I had a collision with a guard rail. As you may see in the pictures( I know they are the best quality) The passenger side has some damage to the headlight bucket. Good new is that it doesn't seem that the suspension geometry has been screwed up, and the frame rails are straight.

After taking the fenders and front bumper off, it seems as the only real damage to the frame is the crumpled headlight bucket. It was pushed into the tire, and a buddy and I were able to pull it away from the tire to roll it into storage.

I am not even considering getting rid of this car, as it means way too much to me. I guess my question for everyone is, have you personally repaired worse, or have you seen worse damage be repaired? I'm hoping I just think its worse than it actually is, though I know its not good obviously. I talked with one of my buddies good friends who said it could be fixed, but for several thousand dollars. His dad does this for a living, they own their own body shop.

Any advice, tips, help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Luke

Doesnt look too be too bad. The damaged sheet metal is still available from Mazda last time I checked.

Thanks for the reply, it's been relieving to here from forum members that its not a total loss. What had me worried is that I've heard its harder doing body work with aluminum, and when the damage is in an area like the front end of a car it makes it even harder.

I'm exploring all options,(except for parting out the car lol) so I'll see what my local Mazda dealerships have.

Thank you! :) May have to sell them though in order to fix my car :(. Sucks because I'm quite fond of them.

Your car looks great by the way.
