rx7raca 07-12-04 10:50 AM

Nice work. How much did this cost, and have you taken it for a ride yet?

fd3s777 07-12-04 10:53 AM

Thats what I was thinking, thats crazy. Let those plastic end tanks explode then you'll feel crunchy.

RX7SpiritR 07-12-04 03:41 PM

Yeah I agree, spending money on a custom V-Mount setup and not upgrading the stock radiator to a koyo or something is kinda stupid IMO, sorry bud. It does look good and probably works fantastic, but come on you can't leave the stock radiator in there. Spend the extra $250 or whatever it is for an aftermarket!

PVerdieck 07-12-04 04:00 PM

Agreed. At least he doesn't also have the stock IC :D

Seriously, you are going to need some shields. On the sides and top of the IC, to keep air from following the path of least resistance and just going around the IC.

mp5 07-12-04 05:16 PM

Who,s the shop?
can they give me the plans for a 2 row and a Koyo rad?;)

su_maverick 07-12-04 05:26 PM

yeah, the plans would be wonderful, Id pay for it even.

Rhode_Dog 07-12-04 05:51 PM

How many cars do you have dude?

zmarko 07-12-04 06:07 PM

Looks good, but I agree should have gone with a better radiator.

Gorilla RE 07-12-04 06:16 PM

looks nice! but i agree radiator should have come first.
are at the same time :)

94RHDFD 07-12-04 06:43 PM

Nice setup just need to upgrade the radiator

fd3s777 07-12-04 07:08 PM

Thanks guys. I'll put SR motorsports big radiator soon.

talljosh85 07-12-04 07:14 PM

Very nice, and I agree with the above, it would've been a good idea to have done the upgraded radiator at the same time, but, the SRM one should fit in the new location anyways. Good luck with the rest of the project, Josh

su_maverick 07-12-04 08:01 PM

has anyone had any good/bad experiences with rs akimoto's flex tubing? I saw it and was thinking it would be decent enough in designing a custom fab system. Any feedback would be welcome.

"Waste of money for the name. Its exactly the same as the Koyo I beleive"

I don't think so. I'm using the thicker one they have.

Someone here did a comparison (also check the thread on the koyo) I think if its bigger its honestly VERY small, I think clayne mentioned it.

MR_Rick 09-19-04 11:59 AM

any update on this? what size core is it?

KaiFD3S 09-19-04 05:36 PM

why use the stock radiator

KaiFD3S 09-19-04 05:37 PM

the SR motorsports radiator is just a KOYO...

fd3s_rx7 09-19-04 07:20 PM
