My coil relocation by Garfinkle

I had David Garfinkle make this coil relocation bracket for me. Here is his description of it: "The plate was made to mount the coils away from the motor's heat and shorten the spark plug wires. The place I used for several years was below the steering shaft on the left side of the car."

I chose to use the stock 3rd gen coil, so he made a plate to fit, but he can also make it to use a 2nd gen leading coil as an easy, cheap upgrade. As with anything I've ever seen made by him, quality is absolutely the best. Design is also unparalleled.

I've been using another bracket that places the coils in the driver's side corner of the engine bay, but I must say, that so far I am much happier with this one. Onto the pix.

Here is one to be used with a 2nd gen coil.

And a fitted picture.

I had my engine torque brace also made by Garfinkle off for paint, so I thought i'd throw in some pix of those also.

Once again, I could not be happier with his work.

My only concern about how you have it set up is that fuel lines and that line that runs right over the coils ... Fuel and spark... Not something I want to put next to eachother... And honestly the amount or power drop between 8 inches of spark plug wire and 20 inches of spark plug wire really isnt that big...

That's not my setup, just a picture of a fitted one to show where I'm planning on relocating it to, mine isn't installed yet.

I don't have an aftermarket FPR, all stock fuel system for me. I prefer this setup over the other coil relocation bracket not only because it shortens the plug wires, but because it is much less of an eyesore being out of sight. It will clear up a lot of clutter in my engine bay. The quality of this piece is much much higher IMO, it is way beefier and seems bulletproof. This one was way cheaper too.

I like that location also. Plan on relocating my coils in the same area with an MSD box.
