has any one ever replaced these mine are in rea nasty ass shape and its all broken. would it be ok to just get rid of them all together?any info on them at all would be cool

I know someone that took them off... the car will still work fine, you just have to watch out for rain and puddles. :) -- you don't want water splashing in the engine bay.

You might be able to get newer ones from a junk yard... maybe.
