msd ignition wires

Has anyone ever had any problems out of msd ignition wires. I am thinking they might be the reason I was having ignition problems when I was tuning my car.

They are too long.
I cut mine down & recrimped the connectors.

i have them now....8.5mm. Mine are all crack and shit...and one is arching on the oil filter(but that was fixed, kind of)

just go with oem wires or get a set of magnacore :bigthumb:

OEM wires are $30-something from Ray at Malloy Mazda. Since you won't see any power difference, I wouldn't advise using aftermarket wires unless they were $20 or less.

I use msd wire from a roll ,8 mm ,40 ohms per foot .I have made several sets for customers .None have given trouble that I know of .My car is running 4 Jacobs C4 coils at 65000 volts with out arching . All is well .

Thanks I already put my stock wires back on they seem to be doing fine. I looked at a boot on one of the msd wires it was pulled op a little bit I bet it was arcing.
