Mpg on the 3rd Gens
 

how many Miles per Gallon of US Gasoline, does the 3rd Gen get. Stock? With mods? Thanks :)

14-16....most all the bolt on's running 10 pounds...

always see's 6-7K rpms and full boost

10-15 in the city, 30mpg on the highway cruising at 1-2k rpm in 5th

14-16 CITY IS WHAT I'VE AVERAGED FOR THE LAST 9 YEARS. I DO LITTLE HIGHWAY, BUT I'D GUESS 23-28...with a tailwind...downhill.

Last I checked Id say arnd 13mpg city.

11 mpg city for me...well when it was working. But now it might change since I'm gonna get the engine ported :)

oh goody, i thought mine was bad. im getting about 13-16 in the city. i just thought it was my car. glad to hear we dont just eat v8's but we eat fuel like them too.

yeah. I get around 14-15 in the city or highway..but I sure as hell don't cruise at 1-2k in 5th gear on the highway..I put my foot in it a little more than that. :)

The renesis is supposed to be a whole whole lots more fuel efficient. I, for one, can't wait..

aboout 12 MPG with my mods

21-23 on the Highway @ 3000 rpm and 11-12 around town but that's with my foot in t on a regular basis and with mods. Jack

17 on avg, 14 all city, 20 all hiway

Since I broke in the engine I just can't keep from making every effing accelaration a 0-60 time! Average 13mpg mixed but having fun! During breakin I got 20-25 city and 30 hwy!

So the speed limit on your highways is only 50 mph? :)

FYI, with the stock tires, 70 mph in 5th gear is about 2,800 rpm. 50 mph would be 2,000 rpm. With P275/40-17s, that'd drop to about 1,930, and 70 mph would be about 2,700. And I've never heard of anyone getting 30 mpg unless you coasted downhill from gas station to gas station. Better check your math... :)

I averaged around 14-15 mpg in town, and about 21-22 at best on the highway, with full mods, non-sequential stock twins, and a somewhat heavy right foot.
