It is more than likely the gauge. Find someone parting out a manual FD, and try to buy just the tach if the person will sell it. If not, buy the whole instrument cluster and just swap the tachs. If you have the cluster out already all of the hard work is done.

I am a little confused, why does the manual list the crank angle sensor as a possible cause of problem? After you install a motor and a gauge doesn't work, why would you think it would be the gauge. Common sense would say it is something you did while installing the motor.

first of all, i know for a fact that it is the tach because my remote start alarm got its signal from the wire that goes into the tach from the engine. if it gets a signal there to start the car, im sure, if not 90%, its from the tach!
so, is anyone selling one and also, are the black faces changeable because if i buy a 93 and want the 94 face, does it come off? |
