More idle/TPS issues!! (searched everywhere)

So after spending the last 3 days reading every post ever written on idle problems, I'm still at a loss...

But my question focuses on the TPS... I know its screwed up, I just don't know how to fix it. I learned about the TPS a few months ago when I got a new throttle body and put it on wrong leading to ridiculous readings, so I'm decently familiar with it...

Now the problem is: my engine just got rebuilt and the idle is doing weird things. Rather than list the symptoms, I'll just say that I started by checking the TPS and the values I get are (closed and open):

Narrow range: .95 and 5.4
Full range: .99 and 4.22

so the narrow closed is a good value and the full open is a good value but the others are off... also, this is with the TPS turned all the way to one side so no more range for correction.

a few months ago when I put the TPS on wrong, the values were way off, which leads me to believe that its on correctly this time, but something is still screwed up!

I feel like its something really obvious that i'm just overlooking and hopefully some outside input will point it out!

thanks!

Update if ANYONE CAN HELP... so my fast idle cam was out of whack and wasn't closing the butterflies... I reset the throttle body and made sure nothing was holding the butterflies open once the car was warmed up. I reinstalled the TPS to make sure it was on correctly... Even still my values are for the TPS are off, pretty much same as before!! I really don't want to buy a new sensor (obviously), is there anything else that could be causing the numbers to be off???

I don't know, your TPS is pretty close. I don't think it's far off enough to cause problems.

What exactly is your car doing? What are you trying to fix? What are your mods?

Hm... You try the starting fluid check for a vac leak? As well, did you 'reset' the computer after you mucked up the install, the last time? (+POS+ disconnect, hold brake for about 20" then reconnect)

arent those values pretty far off? mine was about that far off and it wouldnt even start.
