More Boost Safely...?

Hey Guys...

I would like to run 16 or 17 pds of boost.

Need to know if a:

"Extra or Bigger injectors with fuel pump and
fuel pressure regulator"

or a :

"Water mist injection system"

Which is a more reliable system? And how hard are the installs of both? thanks for the comments... jc.
Heres my mods: N-tech intake
M2 large I/C
Full SS exhaust
Pettit ecu
4.30 + Kazz
Act pressure plate+ rps clutch disc
Crane hi-6

im pretty sure if you run that high with out modding your ecu it will fuel cut on you, also your stock injectors problally not hold up with that much boost. also how big is your intercooler, that 16-17psi boost is gonna make some major heat. i just bought my fd and have been having eletrical problems with it but i just got it fixed. im running 17psi easy and all the way up to 1.5 bar boost sometimes. im not sure what the guy did with the ecu/injectors/other stuff but its always running rich. so rich in fact that just the other day i was shooting flames out of my exaust. good luck with yours and if i were u, go to a dyno, use their wide band O2 sensor and slowly raise the boost. also dont run your injectors over 80-85% duty cycle or your gonna burn them out, run lean, and detonate!!!

P.S. Im not too sure about the "Water mist injection system". has anyone tried this yet???

your both dreamers....16-17 is a little past the effectiveness of the stock turbos..didn't see any mention of turbos being trimmed or anything so I am assuming stock..

why would you want to run your stock turbos at 17 psi? That's asking for headaches and detonation. 15 psi I would say is the limit for the engine and turbos and even at that it would have to be tuned very precisely. 13 psi about the limit for stock injectors. You should upgrade your fuel pump if you do any mods just for added safety. 16 psi and beyond on the stock turbos is very hard to tune and is creating a lot of heat especially running in sequential mode. I would stick to 13-15 psi or go single.

Hi Shunks...
Thanks for the reply... You're running 17 psi? Awesume what fuel are you using? Are you also running octane boost? And what injectors? or fuel pump? fuel pressure regulator are you using? Also have you ever drag raced the car?

As for the turbos running high boost like that? It has been done before. Most people think more than 15 psi is not worth doing because of the all heat involved.

But there are quite a few Drag racers out there that have run
higher than 14-15 psi. With the correct fuel and I/C it has been proven. There is more HP to be had with the correct fuel. Or water injection.

Guys who are running with Water injection or larger injectors running higher boost please reply....

Also I have a atreet ported engine w/ported wastegate as well...

you will see 100% duty cycle on the stock injectors past 14.7 pounds of boost. you would need a better fuel pump and larger injectors to run that much boost...and its not a good idea to run a modified fuel system on the Pettit ECU. youll need to go standalone.

BTW, thanks for posting the same post three times Skunks!
