MOP lines?
Well this weekend I swapped my motor and in the process I broke the MOP line to the rear INJ. So a quick fix was to use some vaccum hose. I was wondering has any one had theres break and if so what did they do? Patch it with silicone and replace it or just use silicone?
Thanx in advance -Rikki |
When I bought my car, the people who had previously replaced the engine broke a MOP line. They "fixed" it by putting a vacuum hose splice in the line, with some zip ties to hold it on. It didn't take long for the pressure going to the injectors to pop a slit in the hose. Just replace it. The line is only $20. Maybe more at list price.

$20 a line is like list price. They are so cheap and they look really really nice new.

You DO NOT want to use silicone for the MOP line. Oil will break silicone down to mush over time.
