Moonroof to Metal roof

I searched for this extensively, and found nothing. I have a 94' touring, originally with a glass moonroof. I found a metal roof for it, and wanted to swap the glass roof for the metal roof. Problem is, when I installed it, it sits too low in the roof opening, and looks sunken in the roof area. It does not sit flush like it should. Every thread I've read about the roof swaps says all of the roofs, glass or metal, are direct swaps. When I search, seems like everyone went from glass to metal roofs, and not the other way, not sure if that has anything to do with it. I'm wondering what I've done wrong. Maybe an old pro would know? Thanks in advance.

Not sure. Can you bump it up with some washers?

Sorry it's not much help, but I did a thread on refurb'ing my glass roof a while back.

Funny you should mention it, thats exactly what I did. However, I feel like I shouldn't have to, and therefore I'm missing something. It still doesnt sit exactly right, and my OCD is driving me nuts. When I searched for this topic, I found a lot of members that had gone from metal to glass with no issues, so I don't understand what the issue is.

Its a direct swap. There are adjustments on the roof.
