Monthly FD Gas Bill?

Thought It would be interesting (and probibly funny) to know peoples monthly gas costs in their FD.

I'm getting 10~MPG in citys and spending at least $150 per month, and I know I don't drive much. How about you?

:Wconfused

7_rocket 06-01-07 01:43 PM

Im around 120 a month, and that is just driving to work and sometimes going out after I come home. I try really hard not to hit boost

yuichiror 06-01-07 01:53 PM

< $60/month. I drive my FD maybe twice a week.

DriftTrix 06-01-07 01:55 PM

I am not able to say off boost. lol. I don't mean I speed, but I love pull. It's worth it to me.

JConn2299 06-01-07 01:55 PM

There's an old line from a multi-millionaire about owning a yacht:

If you have to ask how much, you can't afford one.

7_rocket 06-01-07 01:56 PM

My fd is a daily driver for 6 months out of the year, and in those 6 months I drive it everyday.

neofreak 06-01-07 02:05 PM

$20, drive it on the weekends only

AWD-RWD racer 06-01-07 03:44 PM

id say about 350-450 a month. it sucks.....

dgeesaman 06-01-07 04:20 PM

I spend about $40 month since I only drive a few k per year.

My daily driver though taps out around 200/month.

njstreetrx7 06-01-07 04:28 PM

scratchjunkie 06-01-07 05:15 PM

20-50 a month. depends how many meets are going on.

PureDynamics 06-01-07 05:20 PM

About $480 a month.. Just about 2,000 miles a month.. YES it is my daily driver.. getting about 18-19mpg going to and from work.. Those numbers are not even me going out at night or weekends..

TRWeiss1 06-01-07 05:24 PM

Oh God, I don't even wanna think about it.

bajaman 06-01-07 05:47 PM

Spent $25 in fuel making a ~80 mile round trip to Wichita the other day. Otherwise, I am spending on the average about $50 a month, as I only drive it a couple of days out of each week, and very low miles at that.

1QWIK7 06-01-07 05:53 PM

I dont drive the car much.

Last time i put gas was 3 months ago, that was 20 bucks which put me at half tank.

Im at 1/4 tank now. So thats prob like 40-50 miles since then?? LOL

teknics 06-01-07 05:56 PM

my car, untuned with a massive street port and t04z is getting 16mpg...its getting tuned soon and then im sure being able to boost it will kill my mileage.

kevin.

FDZero 06-01-07 06:24 PM

I spend about $40 each month since it's my weekend car.

NissanConvert 06-01-07 06:58 PM

I'd do about $30/week then maybe $10-20/weekend so $150-200/month as my DD.

RX7Junkman 06-01-07 07:04 PM

$50 bucks a week daily driver (for now) during the break in period so $200 a month, expect it to go up when I can finally boost.

hub_01_69 06-01-07 07:28 PM

I'm one of the lucky ones with a broken 7 so my gas bill has been averaging $0 for the last few months :(

gafu mazda 06-01-07 07:47 PM

$10 a day,driven probably 15 days a month($150)

RX7LINK 06-01-07 09:08 PM

mine's a daily driver all year round. i spend about $240-300 a month... Fill up at around $50-$60 a tank every weekend. i get about 14-15 miles a gallon at about 2/3 city drive and 1/3 highway.

Barbantus 06-01-07 09:20 PM

I got smart and bought a civic hatch for $1,100 to use as a mileage sponge to go to work and back. I get 40mpg and it costs $27 to fill the tank and it lasts two weeks lol. I used to drive my Mercedes-Benz AMG to work and back, wow that was horrible on gas, it was like $400 a month. The RX7 is a weekend warrior.

I don't get this reasoning. Chage AMG for Civic to save on gas? lol
Get one of diesel MB's :) You spend part of life in a car. Mine as well enjoy...

I drive FD as much as I can, what is the point on having car otherwise?
Looks like I get 15-16mpg with my driving. My other daily driver get's me 18-19mpg. I don't know (and don't want to know) how much I spend on gas. Otherwise I would buy Golf Diesel..

jic 06-01-07 10:48 PM

too much is the answer

rotarymandan 06-01-07 10:55 PM

Probably a little over $100 a month. I really only drive it around town, but yea I tend to go into boost quite often. It's too tempting not to. :)

BoostedTimmy 06-01-07 10:56 PM

I can usually get through about a week and a half before having to fill up, and its about 45-50 to fill her up. On the nights when I work late (most nights) theres a long empty strech of road I like to pull to 140 on, so mileage isn't so bad when you take that into consideration.

afgmoto1978 06-02-07 02:25 AM

$0, it hasn't run in a year and a half.

lol.....I'll bet your work buddies were like, "WOW! He has fallen back a few notches!"
If you can afford this car, WHY worry about the cost of fuel? You really are only saving what....$150 or so a month? That is chump change for an AMG driver, isn't it?

mqt_hockey6 06-02-07 03:39 PM

i record 7-8mpg on the untuned 1680cc primary and secondary injectors... so im at about $60-100 per week. ~$350 a month

Heh I also bought this little junker to drive in the winter. Found myself driving it way beyond winter just to work and back. The AMG is an older AMG. I'm not that big of a baller. https://hotrodbenz.sslpowered.com/Myspace/IMG_1347.jpg But she can keep up with the new ones :) Plus I don't want to rack up the miles on my other cars. Even though a benz is good for it.

Funny thing I sold my Turbo Diesel Mercedes-Benz to buy my RX7.

rexhvn 06-02-07 08:55 PM

I daily drive mine.. all in th city... I go through about $160 a month... try to avoid boost, but its to tempting... the FD just wants to pull...

CosmoRx 06-03-07 12:40 AM

Im spending about 130 a month, daily driven ~ 22.5mpg last I checked. Averaging about 35miles a day. Best daily driver EVER! lol.

TwinJDMSnails 06-03-07 02:36 AM

i am about 80cnd a week.. its my DD.. and i love it

kmhergohom 06-03-07 06:16 AM

mine problably takes the cake !! my average is $300-$500 a month! rx7s my daily driver, and i was suprised my fuel price was THIS big. thnx for posting this drift trix, now i need a small car so i dont send the world broke of fuel! by the way im running a series 8 rx7 with a 26b. love driving it, however i do scare a few people when i drive by! not to mention being pulled over by the cops 20 times a day! lol.

rexhvn 06-03-07 07:12 AM

You daily drive a 26b? Thats hard to beleive... ^^^^

MisawaJason 06-03-07 09:15 AM

Let's see. When converted from yen to dollars, I pay roughly $4.47/gallon. I fill up roughly once a week, roughly 10,000 yen which is about 92 bucks.
So I'd say upper $300s per month.

A daily driven 26b is not a normal thing around here. If you can, post some pictures in the sticky thread.

Dave

rexhvn 06-03-07 10:14 PM

26b's are very rare and only used in 'drag' cars in Australia! I've never heard of anyone daily driving one... how reliable would they be?

DriftTrix 06-04-07 05:50 PM

lol, reliability is 2X a 13B because it will keep running off 3 rotors if 1 goes out. I bet if that things tuned right acceleration is as smooth as silk.
