Will the car fire up on the OEM ecu? (I just want to fire it up to check for oil leaks, coolant leaks, exhaust leaks). I've got 550cc injectors for the primary, so the oem fuel map should be good. Just wondering if eliminating those things marked x causes the car not to start up without any resistors added to simulate loads.

It will not start. If i where you i would just pony up the extra cash for a power FC and not add resistors and cut down on the extra work. One thing i learned over the years is that the (saving money headache) is not worth the savings.

I did my single turbo harness simplification a bit differently then your above posted reference. I left the OMP, and i will have it draw oil from a fresh source. I also removed iac, and all of the rats nests solenoids.

I also have a pfc. Most of this stuff was not hooked up anyways. Have i tested the harness yet? Nope i have not.

Now with the OEM harness, you may need to add the resistors. I am not too sure on that one.

i have an aem ems waiting to go in. but before messing with it, i wanted to start it on the stock ecu to make sure everything is working fine. aftermarket ecus sometimes cause issues to start the car up (has happened to me before). it sucks going in circles thinking its a tune error when it was just a wiring error :P

Although I haven't tried this myself on an RX-7, I suspect it will start. It will run in limp mode (the stock ECU should be pretty pissed off about the OMP especially) and is not likely to idle as nicely as a bone stock car.

Most stock ECU's have enough failsafes that they will be able to run the engine even if one and sometimes multiple important sensors (TPS, CLT, MAP, Crank Angle (G or NE, but not both)) have been disconnected.
