Model Differences
Sorry to sound like a newb, but I am.
I read the "FAQ for 3rd Gen & other useful links" but I couldn't find any informations in the link the forum suggested to use, or didn't look hard enough... So just give a brief summary of all the FD models there are available and their differences. |

Ahh thanks.
So the touring model isn't as great, performance wise, with the others... Sad because theres alot of touring models for sell compared to the others... |

The difference is negligible and most people end up upgrading the suspension and stuff anyways. I'm sure you would be more than happy with the performance of any FD, especially if you're crossing over from a Civic. |

Your definately new. The different models all came with the same drive train. It's the weight that is the only factor or if it was an Auto, so if you want the most out of it, just strip out all the creature comforts and you'll have the fastest special model. |
The other sort of useful difference is the R1/R2 have an extra oil cooler. If you're on the track regularly, you'll want the extra cooler to keep the temps down. However, it's no big deal to buy an extra stock oil cooler or install a better aftermarket oil cooler in the non-R models.
