Mirror fell off

Ok well here comes the fun part. Don't know if any of you can help me but it's worth a try.

I noticed my mirror getting wobblier when I was on the road driving and well today it almost smashed on the ground but the power wires saved it.

My million dollar question is: is there anyone with experience taking the mirrors apart and putting them back together. The 4 bolts that hold my mirror to the housing fell out and i want to fix it now.

If there is anyone with any experience or know a write up you would be my hero.

Thanks in advance.

at first I laughed at this thread, then instantly I though "oh crap I got to check my side mirrors"

No real words advice, sorry haha. Good luck

Yeah, it wasnt the whole mirror or it would of been an easy fix. Just the mirror lense fell out and with the magic way they designed the mirrors the only way to fix it is as far as I can see is to rip everything apart and than put it together piece by piece

Just replace the whole mirror assembly. If the glass is broken, you'll have a helluva time trying to replace that glass and put everything back together. You'll be way ahead just getting a good used mirror and bolting it on.

I remember this almost happened to me. My driver mirror was very loose. I just folded in the mirror to expose the two screws holding it down onto the mount. They were both extremely loose. Secured them down easily with just a screw driver. The mirror is solid now.

The mirror lense isnt broken and I wish it was as easy as the bolts that mount it to the car.

The bolts that are loose are behind the glass mirror. I'm going to try removing the mirror lense off the assembly and hope for the best. If that dosen't work I'm going to look for a used mirror and just bolt it on.
