Milkshake in oil? Smells like fuel!
 

Very strange, I've got this milkshake like crud in my oil fill neck but it smells like fuel? Usually milkshake says to me blown head gasket but that's hard for me to figure out, especially considering the high oil pressure these cars run. The coolant recovery bottle looks good and the coolant fill neck looks good, no contamination in there. Can I just flush this stuff out with a couple of oil changes?

Id change your oil, make sure you change your oil filter.. :) and see if it happens again.. That and run a compression check just for the hell of it ;).. Change your fuel filter if you havnt in the last 30k miles.. just for the hell of it because.. Better safe than sorry.

at your next oil change clean that shit out with a paper towel before changing. then monitor to see if it comes back. btw - has your car been using up coolant?

i had that shit in one of my non-turbo rotaries and the engine wound up going after a while.

Mine had some froth and I thought it was the coolant seal also. Then I talked to Rick (of Rick's Rotary) and he said that's normal for the FD. It's just water condensation. I did have him do a compression check anyways just to see what condition the engine was in but all checked out well. I don't think a compression check would show a bad coolant seal anyways.

That stuff is pretty common on rotaries. My friends 1st gen gets this stuff on the oil filler cap and his engine is running very strong. Its been like this for a long time. Some engines do this and some dont.

make sure it's venting properly (not capped) and your oil system is ok.

I have had a couple do that. Don't pull hairs over it.

If there is something wrong fix it, that is all one can do.
