MIL Light?

Ok, I have a PowerFC installed on the car and I heard that the engine light doesn't come on.

Is it describing the MIL light? If so, I also read it will fail visual inspection if it doens't have it lit when the ignition is on.

How would I go about and get the light back with the PFC installed as I do not have the stock ECU.

B.T.W. I am in NY.

I never went in for an inspection before because someone always just did it for me.

What do they normally check? Is there an actual visual test?

bump^

Also another question, I heard you should run the car pretty hard before you bring it in.

You think I should do that with my car?

Well the light you're talking about is the check engine light... and I have AEM and I can controll that light with just about any sensor at my disposal... anyhow, I think PFC doesn't have that option... so since all things should be 12V, I'd measure some of your Idiot lights...run a couple of wires from say the seatbelt light to the ECU one, temporarily disconnecting the ecu or Seatbelt light or both... to make it pass... or hook a battery through a relay to a timer from the ignition key, simple timers and relays can be bought at radio shack...

Also, running a car hot before exhaust inspections helps only if ... you lost your Pre-Cat in a tragic bump in the road accident.. (I see you have 3" DP) and somehow managed to keep your main cat... (without Main you're Screwed don't collect $200 go to jail etc...(Monopoly))
After that yes the Pre-Cat us used to reduce emissions on warmup, once warm it's a paperweight generating 100 of degrees of heat, therefore we ditch it...

Silicone Hose job, I've heard of people failing for colored hose jobs, but if you've chose to use black I don't see any troubble.... The rest is all suspension etc...
I'd argue with the guy to a point that Vacuum tubes have nothing to do with the Intake or Exhaust... if he asks... chances are slimm... the case above is if you get called to a Referee (That Blows Hard).

I say try and find yourself an ECU that you can borrow for the afternoon, run the car warm (Temp Gauge in the middle) do a couple of good boosts... swap ECU's don't
boost since with DP and Hi Flow you'll blow something unless you re-jet your restrictor pills and get your inspection... go back and swap for Power FC....
