MidPipe/Boost Spike Question

Hey Guys, does anyone have a midpipe on their car, and if so, is the sequential setup the only one that has boost spikes. I was thinking about the Mid pipe being a good thing for my Non Sequential setup, but I'm not sure if the wastegate can handle it to keep the boost from creeping up on me at high RPM's.
Anyone have some experience/knowledge they would like to give on this,

port the wastegate. No more creep.

I know this sounds kind of Dumb, but I didn't know I could port the factory waste gate. I thought I had to buy a larger/performance wastegate. Since you can port your wastegate, does anyone have instructions/pictures on what to do. I doubt that it's very hard since it deffinitely isn't hard to get to.
Thanks for all the info,
Ralph

I think it is defintey hard to get to. You have to remove the turbos and crack them apart to get to the wastegate. Do a search I think there are several how-tos on porting the wastegate.

Ok never mind, I was thinking of a different component. Oh well I forgot that it had an internal waste gate.
Never mind then. :) Any other possibilities to help the wastegate once it's at 10lbs without digging into the turbos too far? I'm just trying to think of a way to drop the lag time for the non sequential setup as much as possible.
I tried an intake, but it actually did run as hard, because it was pulling hot air. I think I'm going to put a K&N in the factory box and port it out more to pull cold air, and look stock of course. :)

Aside from porting the wastegate, the only other option is to add restriction plates to the exhaust. Read through the following thread, it will have all the information you need:
