Memoryfab Super Low Position Seat Mounts
 

Has anyone used them? Quality? Fitment? I have a set of Sparco Seats "Pro2000" and I was going to make a set of mounts but need the lowest I can get being 6'4" and having a sunroof :wallbash: and they have dual locking sliders available.

I don't know of any other company that makes seat mounts for the FD.

I was going to try and modify my stock seat mounts by shaving them down, if it is even possible. I'm 6'3'' so I feel your pain. I have to ride mexico style, or bang my head on every bump in the road. :rlaugh:

Dude, you wouldn't believe how many times in my life I was wishing I was only 5'10''. After highschool and college sports were over, the height was just a wasted commodity and is now usually more of an inconvience than anything, especially in my profession of window tinting.....I swear the cars are getting smaller and harder to get into every year.

Bride in Japan also make FD3S subframes. Coincidentally, also called "Super Low". They retain the stock position seatbelt mount too which the memoryfab don't appear to have.

I love being 5'6......I recently swapped my R1 seats out for R2s and was surprised to find there was extra padding which raised me up about an inch, giving a better view of the road. Still lots of room in my non-sunroof R1 for a helmet :)

Rich you're a short bastard :) I suppose you have 3" over your head with a helmet on? I'm going to sell my supercharged NSX because I just can't get a good seating position with that low back rollbar.

Anyone with a link to "Bride in Japan" and it does look like the Memoryfab has "OEM seat belt placement is also provided" in the description. Hell they might be the same thing.

These aren't made by Bride, but they have an application for our car.

It looks like Bride makes a few different types of rails, depending on seat type and whether you want it to slide or not.

I had a set of aftermarket seat rails in my old Subaru Impeza, and the sliders were really poorly made. I sold them and bought a spare set of OEM seat rails which I modified to fit my aftermarket seat. Sorry but I can't remember the name, but it wasn't Memory Fab or any of the Japanese brands. They might have been from Torrance or Los Angeles, CA.

Hmm, for racing this sounds really tempting. You get more headroom, you get better visibility, and you lower your CG. Can't lose if it's a good product.

USA Bride is at www.tees-usa.com. They do have the low mount rails.

Hopefully they're as strong as the stock rails. It would suck to go thru the windshield if you got into an accident.

I use the Bride FG low position rails, bolts on easy with no modification....I do sit a bit lower than stock...I gained about an inch of headroom

I've purchased a Bride Zeta III Type-L (tall) with the type-FG super low seat rail in my garage awaiting my install in about two months(in Iraq right now). I've got the dreaded sunroof as well and am 6'2". Not a freakish 6'4" (jk) but tall enough I still do the lean back thing. I'm hoping to fix that. I also got a smaller diameter steering wheel with spacers to bring it closer to me and give knee clearance even if I do have to tilt back slightly. I'm hoping with some luck I can squeeze in comfortably enough with a helmet and not be all they way back. I'm not afraid to modify the rails or seats so hopefully I can give a description as well as clearances for a man my size. I'll be posting a detailed work up with pictures once I put it in. Hopefully it can provide some relief for my fellow sasquatch squad.
