member braces

hey guys
happy new year to everyone

i ve seen several posts regarding member braces.
i was thinking of getting a set for my fd. I m currently expecting to reach 400+ rwhp with upgraded twins, its for street use and no track use, i would want to go with something "smooth"

i ve seen the a-spec Transmission and differential Brace
and the Autoexe member brace set

i know autoexe is more expensive and some people would choose the a-spec.
if money is not an issue, which one would you choose? and why ?

Has anyone tried the autoexe? any feedback?

i have read that the a-spec(or maybe any transmission brace) causes some sort of a noise.

the autoexe looks a more solid application to me, however it could be used for different purposes.

let me know guys

Thanks

Con

Do some searching. The braces that you mentioned (diff brace, tranny brace, autoexe under braces) are all meant for different purposes. Also check out the Garfinkle torque brace.

isnt the autoexe for the tranny, differential and engine?

torque brace i got from knightsports

I run both a-spec braces. They've not caused any noise that I could ever tell.

what do u think of them? would you recommend them to someone?

no one knows?

Railgun Jan 2, 2008 06:16 PM

Well, the kicker is since I've put them on, I haven't had any track time. But as far as the street goes, they're good to go.

Thanks Railgun.
I think im gonna go for it..

did you notice big difference with them ?

You may want to look at our differential brace, it is a different design from the "T", and weighs a lot less

I use the Banzai with great sucess. No wheel hop, and I haven't notuice an increase in noise. I had the T design before.

changed the T design for some reason?

Railgun Jan 3, 2008 10:09 AM

Ok, I didn't comment on it before as I haven't installed it yet, but I do have the Banzai brace as well. I needed it due to exhaust clearance issues. I'm sure it'll do just as well.

The banzai unit looks a lot like the re amemiya unit, which is a plus in my book.

R-R-Rx7 Jan 3, 2008 06:40 PM

is it an old model that is not listed on re-amemiya website?
idont seem to find it

TRISPEEDFD3S Jan 3, 2008 09:45 PM

I think they took it off. Theirs was yellow. Here's a pic of the Makers 7 Diff brace. I personally when I have the money to, will be using the banzai unit.

A+ on the banzai brace, very solid.

Riccardo Jan 23, 2008 12:28 PM

Does the autoexe fit with the undertray ?

Riccardo Jan 24, 2008 03:38 AM

Bump

Riccardo Jan 28, 2008 01:26 AM

Just put it on
Very minor changes - limited cut-out of undertray
However there is a noticeable difference in chassis stiffness resulting in the suspension working better
