You and your family have my thoughts and prayers. For those of you who did not know Brandon's dad, he truly was a kind and generous man. There are few like him on this earth. He has touched the entire community with his kindness and generousity. I feel blessed that I had the chance to know Mr. Wayne. As I look back on the night of the accident, I remeber a few words spoken amongst friends. My friend Andrea and I were having supper at a local resturant, and it was full of kids dressed up for homecoming. We were remembering the good old days and Mr. Wayne's name came up. We were remembering Senior Skip out day...Prom...and Mardi Gras. We were commenting on how generous and kind he was. He and Ms. Debbie made those times in out lives so special with their kindness. If you ever held a conversation with him, you knew what a genuine person he was. He will never be forgoten in my heart and the hearts of others. People please use this tragic accident as a lesson and slow down. I don't want anyone to have to go through what B is going through right now. Brandon...I offer you my shoulder whenever you need it. luv you.

Thank you so much Erica. That really means a lot to me. I really hope to see you at the wake tomorrow night. Thank you, again.

Brandon, although I have only lurked on this board, and have never really seen you around it, I can not begin to display my deepest thoughts at this moment. Reading your story turned a wrench in my heart, and I can't help but feel but the deepest of sympathies for you and your family. I can only imagine losing someone as close to me as my father, and therefore cannot even fathom the heartache you must be going through.

I hope for you nothing but the best in the next few days, weeks, months and years to come. And it is a terrible tragedy that something like that ever has to happen.

May your father rest in peace.

That's not my car. My car was in much worse shape than that. I'm going to try and get pictures taken of the car tomorrow before the wake because there's no way I'm going to be able to see the car any time soon after the wake and funeral, once the reality of this whole thing really hits me.

I feel for you, man. I don't think I would want to look at the car, much less think about keeping it, after something like this. I'm not sure I'd even want another RX-7 after something like this, even though I love them.

I'm still debating on whether I'll be getting another RX-7, but ultimately, I know that's what my father would like me to do. He knows how much I loved the cars and even though it'd be hard, I know he'd want me to keep on with my fasination of vehicles of all sorts.
If I decide to get one it's certainly going to be hard getting in it the first few times but after that, it'll be just good memories about him through-out.

My most sincere condolences for the loss felt by you and your family.

onepointone 10-29-02 10:13 AM

i could understand about feeling weird about getting into other rx7's, but i would.

i know this probably isnt your top proirity, but if you dont mind me asking, how is the insurance handling this? since it was reckless driving dont you have to pay for the stuff? im just curious.

I have no idea how they're handling it. From what I'm aware of, we haven't even been contacted by the police since the night of the accident and we've never been contacted again by them or the insurance company.

Heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I shudder thinking about what you must have gone through and the magnitude of loss you must feel. Having a close father is a great gift that can never really be taken away as they are always with us.

Warm regards,
