Mazdaspeed Grounding Stabilizer

Did a search but did not find a thread on this item. Has anybody used this on an FD? Did it help the 3000 RPM bucking problem?

Thanks,

That's not an actual Mazdaspeed product, BTW.

There are a number of newer ground stabilizer dealies that have capacitors like this one. It's cheap enough to try if you're up to guinea pigging it :).

IMHO, there's only one way to get rid of the 3000 RPM hesitation - get a PowerFC.

agreed... and you'll want it and love it for the rest of the time you own the car just for the shear versitility of the product :D

That looks pretty neat, but the shipping is $20 + $2 insurance + 8.25% CA tax. In the end, the tax/shipping costs almost as much as the actual product.

sounds like a completely bullshit product to me. i bet you couldn't even find it in a mazdaspeed catalogue.

That's because it isn't a MazdaSpeed product. A lot of those eBay products have factory racing logos on them for various manufacturers. :rlaugh:

great, the mazdaspeed product is in front of.....a skyline :) The sun auto thing similar to it atleast in packaging is around 100 plus shipping.

I posted about this a while back because I saw it. But what I did was run a regular 1 farad cap I had in the car already and it worked great. My stereo got stolen but they left my cap because it was bolted down, well I left it like that a while hooked up and when I finally tookt he cap out of the back hatch. I noticed that it was a little "lazier" so I put the cap in the engine bay between my radiator and fmic with some zip ties and ran some 4 gauge cable to the battery and it ran better like it used to. if you look close at the engine bay you can kinda see it. http://www.cardomain.com/id/fastrotary all you can see is the zip ties and the cables ground goes up along teh ic piping and hot goes around the radiator. Don't buy that thing off ebay just go to a stereo shop and get a regular cap

I've noticed that. I'm surprised the companies haven't jumped on these ripoff artists for this...Aren't these logos (such as Mazdaspeed, NISMO, etc) trademarks, thus putting them on your product and selling it as such would be illegal and subject to lawsuits?

Damn...Ill soon see Rotor auctions with the mugen logo on them...ebay scammers suck.

Technically, yes. But is it worth their time to file a lawsuit? Probably not.
