Master/slave cylinder out? Can manually pump up clutch but if pushed stays on floor
 

Last night I was cruising, and all of a sudden my clutch pedal stayed on the floor when I shifted. I manually pulled it out. When I have the key off, itll pump up and work normally, but when the car is running I gotta manually pull it out by hand and pump it.

I wouldn't drive the car in that condition. Mine did that before the clutch line blew, had to get it towed to the shop.

It can't even go into gear, it's undrivable. Once it's rolling itll keep going because it stays in gear, but you cannot get it to go from a stop. Any ideas on what it is though? I'm sure someone has had this happen.

Unless someone jumps on here that had your exact same problem, I would start trouble shooting your hydrolic system. There might just be air in the line.

I bled my lines, blacker than black ink. It won't even build up pressure in the system. I'm almost 100% positive it's my slave.

I had a similar situation recently. Car behaved like the clutch wasn't disengaging. Peddle worked fine, I got under the car and could see the fork moving, but car still behaved like the clutch was still engaged. I took the tranny off and the fork was fine, took the pressure plate off and it was fine as was the clutch disc. Looked in the end of the eshaft and saw the pilot bearing was trashed and found a big burr and divet on the end of the transmission shaft (BTW it took me about 4 hours of prying to finally get the transmission free from the engine). Sanded the burr off the transmission shaft, replaced the pilot bearing and seal (I own the bearing puller and am very glad I do) and it worked like new!

it happened in my first gen, it was the slave cylinder. it's not too expensive from the dealer, but it's an amount of money that's still annoying to spend. good luck. though maybe test the system too, check for fluid leaks.
