Map/boost Sensor

Heyo,

The other day when I was driving my FD, I gave it a big hit (to around 8000rpm) in second gear, the car stopped boosting and noticed a rough idle. I popped the bonnet and noticed the pipe connecting to the MAP sensor fell off, then I squeezed it back on and then the car idled properly and started to boost normally. I could hear air coming out of a pipe and that's how Iknew it was the MAP sensor.

Just wondering if it will do damage to the engine. Because I kept driving and didn't connect the pipe to the MAP sensor after like 10-15mins after it fell off.

Shouldn't have done any damage. And congrats on being smarter than most. Most people think the engines blown before checking the MAP sensor hose. I've read countless "I think I blew my engine" posts where every other response is "check the MAP sensor hose."

About the worse thing that will happen is that it will aid your spark plugs in fouling a little sooner than normal. That's about it.
