My homemade ball and spring regulates just fine.. and no spiking :) |
yep, try a home made ball and spring type. mines cost me 15 bucks to make at hd or lowes and it works fine (i have full straight exhuast, intercooler, intake, all metal piping for intercooler pipes and a stock ecu and still retain a 10-8-10 psi boost curve). a turn of the screw for me makes my boost relibly go up or down 1/2 a psi :)
just start off with it in the full open position and very very slowly turn the boost up. do multipul runs to redline in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear (not only is it safer to go slowly, its lots of fun even at low boost :)) |

Turbosmart ( http://www.turbosmart.com.au/ ) they make some really good products. Myself and several others I know have been running their MBC's for a while and they are work like a champ.

"and they are work like a champ"
 |
hmm the Joe P MBC XZ-S looks pretty good
|
i did the home depot bit for a while but it became a PITA if you wanted to change anything...Pull over - Open Hood - Turn the dial - Jump in and test - too much - jump out - pop hood - dial down...Ahhhhhhh

turbosmart has an "in-cabin" mbc

Is the homedepot hard to install or make? I don't want to screw up anything.
|
Nah it shouldn't be hard, it's not very complicated.

I have the evolution (cockpit mounted) and love it, very fine adjustability |
That's what I'm selling. Never installed. Just opened the box. It's the evo rx.
