manual boost controller
I decided that I'm going to piece together a manual boost controller for my car. I don't really have the money to spare to buy an electronic one for now. Well, ive been searchin all over the web and this site for the best approach, and I've found so many ideas I'm not really sure what to do. What type of approach do you guys recommend? Any guides? etc.
Also, whats 'using pills' to make it opposed to 'using valves' Thanks nill |
just build yoru self a manual boost controller, it should cost about 15 bucks from homedepot although you might need to spend like 50 cents at lowes to get yourself a nice ball bearing.
i used this one and i can get 7-15+psi boost relibly, 1/2 a turn gives me about .5psi boost change and its super relible http://www.geocities.com/chmwatson/FAQs/mbc.html boost builds super fast too good luck and take it easy when tuning it, it took me about 3 days with a whole bunch of wot runs in 2nd and 3rd gear. it was a whole bunch of fun, especially when I started to break my rear loose in second gear at about 45-50mph hehe (i was using shitty tires though so im not putting down that much power :D). just remember to go slow and take it easy so you dont pop your engine if you over boost. |
