Making Gaskets

I have checked out the cost of gaskets and was wondering if anyone has simply tried to make their own?

What gaskets are you trying to make?

I made a gasket for my throttle body and it works fine.

I am in the process of making my own gaskets for the Y-pipe to turbo assembly. I got a set of gasket making material from autozone for like $10. I don't recomend doing it for important gaskets like the UIM or LIM gaskets.

This is true, The original 93 gaskets were paper from the LIM to block.( same as autozone gasket material) Spend the money for the all new metal gaskets from Malloy. They have a full maniflod gasket set for just over (100 bucks my cost). It includes the UIM to LIM, LIM to block, exhaust manifold to block, and DP gasket( all metal), also OMP o-ring,and oil pedestal o-rings(2). That's the best gasket deal by far. ( Espeacially since Mazda jacked up prices on their parts);)
