Main fuse
2 Attachment(s)
Hey guys. Just noticed my 1996 Jdm spec Fd is running a 100A main fuse instead of 120A. Have not noticed any issues, have had he car for 10 years. Can is cause any issues?

Morodizal,
You are fine. Running a lower rated fuse will not cause any issues. That means the threshold to blow the fuse is 20A lower than stock. If the fuse does blow, you could either replace it with another 100A fuse or return to the originally rated 120A fuse. Sound electrical advice: NEVER install a fuse rated higher than the original rated circuit. For example, do NOT install a 40A fuse in a circuit rated for 30A. Cheers, George |
That looks like an aftermarket fuse - some previous owner popped it and couldn't find a 120. May be worth getting the right size (those fuses are cheap) but it won't cause anything weird.
