lumpy idle
I recently had a problem where the car would run perfect for a good 20-25 minutes, then the idle would start to drop, temps would go up, and the car would eventually shut off.... got that situation all fixed today and now i have a new problem... the car runs fine temps never went over 88, and about 25 minutes after driving it, it starts to idle really hard. It almost sounds like the engine or tranny is shaking, kind of like a squeaky noise its idling so hard. I attatched 2 videos from my cell phone if you cant hear just forget about it lol... but any ideas on what could be causing this problem? I take my car in oct 12th for tuning and want to have the car running perfect for it. :wallbash: thx.

lol before i take 2 hours and do that are you guys sure the tune is the problem? The car runs perfect the first 20-25 minutes its running...

^ Does it boost fine and drive fine except for the lumpy idle?
What was the problem causing it to stall out when hot before? |
It drives fine, but i haven't boosted it in 3,000 miles... waiting for my tune
|
The problem before was the combination of a bad battery and a bad coolant leak.

I dont think the tune is your problem. The PFC base map is probably a bit lean to account for the mid pipe but it should still run and idle half way decent.
Check the TPS voltage on the PFC, you should be able to search the forum and find what it should be. Also look for any vacuum leaks after the throttle body. |
