Lowering restrictions with oversized wheels?

Ok, I am fairly new to this forum, usually just reading to learn about rex's before I buy one this month, and I had a question. I need to know what kind of drop is possible on 18x9f and 18x10r? This is probably going to be with 285-35s and 245-35s. If the 10" in rear is a problem 9" is totally an option. Also what kind of offset would be needed? This is all based on me choosing either 1" or 1.25" drop. And before 50% of responce is to search, I did and I am not denying my mild retardation, but I did not find anything about lowering mostly just using stock springs.

Anybody at all?

+.50 offset in the rear can/will support up to a 19x10 wheel. this is what i used to run, not i have 18x9.5.....noi problems. btw, the tires that were with the 19's were 295-35/19's.....

should this be in the susp. tires/wheels area.....

it may in fact rub because the tire size is too tall. The correct size in the rear would be 285/30/18. That way the Overall height of the tire/wheel would not be increased over the stock size. Especially when lowering. I have a similar set up and am in the process of lowering the car as well. The Springs I went with were H&R's. As soon as they are installed I will post pics.

ask max cooper or go to his website

www.maxcooper.com

he runs 18x10s with 285/30s and a lowered coil-over suspension

also ask Sleep R1 or ARD T2

Yes, we've discussed wheel sizing for an FD Ad Infinitum!
