low transitional boost...
Hi all
I did the home depot valves a while back and ever since I've been having low boost at transition. (12-7-11) The wastegate valve seems to work perfectly but the valve on the precontrol just doesn't do jack! Oh yeah my mods are intake, dp, cb, and pfc. Should I put back the original precontrol line since I'm using the pfc? One thing worth mentioning is that when I took off the stock precontrol line I didn't see any pills in there. I have a 94 rx7. Anyone know how to fix this problem? |
You can eliminate the precontrol valve completly if you have the patience to manually adjust the precontrol rod itself. The rod is threaded at the end and the end piece can be adjusted in or out. I forgot which way is more prespool. I can find out for ya if you want. Otherwise, if someone else remembers, I'm sure they will reply.

Ok, if you thread the end piece in, you should get less prespool. Thread it out and you should get more prespool. Keep in mind the prespool works as a miniwastegate. If you prespool more, then you will have to adjust your Primary turbo duty control higher to compensate for the loss of exhaust going to the 2nd turbo.

thanks for the reply! the question is where is that rod you're talking about? is it by the precontrol actuator? Also, does using the valves voids the pfc's ability to control boost?
