low coolant light after engine change

Mazda changed the engine and now they say my low coolant light is on. They say that the sensor checked fine and all the coolant levels are okay. Anyone have any ideas?

Has the coolant system been burped properly. Do a search on burping. If this doesn't solve it, it didn't fix my low coolant light problem, and you are absolutely sure the coolant level is fine, you can unplug the buzzer. It's behind the driver's kick panel. You will also lose the shift buzzer if you choose to unplug it.

I went to mazda and changed out my new sensor for the old one and it fixed it. Then they offered me a job and i politey turned them down.

Glad you got that fixxed.
What kinda job did they offer you?

They offered me a mechanics job. I'm an aircraft mechanic with 14 years experience. I work on cars as a hobby not a job.

I see. I think airplane mechs make more anyways.

I wish I had your luck. I changed my sensor as well but to no avail.

There is a single spade connector that is down by the PS and A/C pumps for the add coolant light also. Try digging around down there and see if it is connected.

Jeff,

Thank you. I really hate seeing that light all the time.

Ryan,

Thanks for letting me know. FYI, still no word on the motor. The input shaft on the trans was ruined. He had one rebuilt for me. I feel like he should cover this since the pulley being loose caused this whole mess. I DID tell him about the oil leak up front at the pulley and he chose not to fix it. Said it was minimal.

Hey guys... i just put in my new rebuild and I'm having the same problem. Cooling system has been bled, I see coolant all the way up the the top of the filler neck, and the overflow and the AST.. but the coolant level light is on, and its buzzing... I tried to check the sensor, in the front of the filler neck.. it always has a ground signal... any of you guys know what the problem is?
