Losing Boost Pressure
 

Hello,
I was driving my car today and realized my boost pressure was maxing out at 10psi. Even then, its constantly hitting 8 and only spiking to 10. I'm not sure what the previous owner had Steve Kan tune it at but it was running 12psi without any issues before. I currently have a power fc and the boost is controlled via the stock solenoid I believe. I haven't touched anything and the car is a DD. I checked have already checked the hose clamp and hose on my vmount and the silicone his is free of cracks and rips. Any idea?

Still most likely a boost leak. You typically have to boost test or do a VERY careful inspection of every hose on the car to check for leaks. Remember, ANYWHERE air can get out can be a boost leak - the 7/8" hoses to/from the stock blow off valves, y-pipe gaskets and o-ring, TB elbow to TB, you name it.

Even a small leak will make a big difference.

I figured that would be the only solution. Any idea if using smoke and pressure testing would work or just the good old stethoscope and pressure tester?
