Looking for a New TPS
Sup fellas, Im looking to buy a brand new TPS. I previously have seen a bunch of posts regarding purchasing from "Ray Malloy". I just wanted to know if he is an actual person, dealer, or a shop. And if anyone can provide me with a contact # or email, or if anyone has any suggestions on where to get one at a decent price.
Unfortunately, Im on my PDA and connection is slow and searching takes a while (took me almost 30mins just to post this) Thank you in advance!!!! |
Its in the FAQ
Malloy Mazda , Ray Crowe is the parts manager, gives great prices to RX-7 owners, quick shipping: (888) 533-3400 , (703) 490-8170 , fax: (703) 490-3864 , hmkparts@aol.com https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/faq-3rd-gen-other-useful-links-68640/ |
Ray is awesome. I've bought so much stuff from him, he's #6 on my speed dial. . . right above my girlfriend.

yeah i would def go with ray crowe, he is helpful and very easy to deal with...
you can reach him at this number: 888-533-3400 |
That said, TPS's VERY rarely go south, and finding a good used one shouldn't be a problem for very cheap. New they're like $180-200 or something crazy.

Hey guys!! Thanks sooo much for your help.
I've been trying to diagnose/fix my 3k hesitation and I took it to my uncles's shop (where I'm also getting my paint job) where the first thing he tested was the TPS and it showed a dead spot. I'm hoping that's the culprit since I've done all the grounding... I'll keep you guys in the loop... |
Interesting. What do you mean by a dead spot? Did the voltage go to 0V or dive or something during throttle movement?

I wasn't there when he tested it... but his other mechanics suspected the same thing.. so we'll see :fingersx: :fingersx: |

Anything to help out and give back to the 7 community:icon_tup: |
I suggest you try with a used one ($40) before shelling out hundreds for a brand new one.
