looking to buy a new rx7

hey guys, im brand new to the forum. I was just recently in a car accident and my '91 saab's side was pretty much crushed. I'm fine, but i have to start looking for alternate cars now.

Now, i realise that some of you will be a bit biased towards the rx7 (and understandably so) because this is an rx7 forum, but i'd really like to know some honest opinions about the car.

1) is it RELIABLE? my saab gave me nothing but headaches, from gears grinding, to practically drinking antifreeze, to my exhaust "magically" forming holes in it.

2) How many miles should i look for? I'm very hesitant to buy any car thats over 80,000 miles. Do these cars hold up well?

3) What should i look for when test driving? I used to have an awesome article that told me which things to look out for, such as measuring the turbo timings.

This car has always been a dream of mine to have, but i'm certainly not rich. To me, reliability is more important than a 0-60 time of 5.1 (believe it or not).
